If you use Zoho CRM day to day, you probably live in list views. That’s where you scan records, sort things out, and figure out what to do next. Until now, checking or updating a note meant opening the full record. Extra clicks for something simple.
That’s changed.
Seeing Notes Without Opening the Record
Zoho added a small icon next to records in list views. If a record has a recent note, roughly within the last six months, you’ll see it there. Click the icon and a side panel opens with the notes. No need to leave the list.
It’s subtle, but once you notice it, you start using it.
You Can Edit Notes Right There
- Read existing notes
- Add a new note
- Edit or delete notes
This works across modules like Accounts, Contacts, and others.
If there isn’t a recent note, the icon still shows when you hover. Click it and you can add a note right away. No record drill-down needed.
Zia Shows a Summary Sometimes
If you have Zia turned on, you might also see a short summary of the notes. It only appears when there’s enough content to summarize, so you won’t see it everywhere. When it does show up, it’s helpful for quick context.
It’s a quiet improvement, but a good one.
