Turn a simple eBook into a fully automated lead generation system using Zoho WorkDrive, Zoho Forms, Zoho Campaigns, and Zoho CRM.

Lead magnets don’t need to be complex. If you’ve got a useful resource and access to Zoho One, you’re halfway there. In this walkthrough, I’ll show you how I turned a 146-page eBook into a lead-generating machine using only Zoho WorkDrive, Zoho Forms, Zoho Campaigns, and Zoho CRM.

Step 1: Upload the eBook to WorkDrive

Start by uploading your PDF to Zoho WorkDrive. Once it’s there, enable public sharing and copy the download link. That link is your carrot—it’s what you’ll give people after they submit their email.

Step 2: Build a Simple Zoho Form

Use Zoho Forms to collect leads. Keep it frictionless: just an email field and maybe a hidden field to tag the lead source (like “e-book download”). If you want, you can add a visual to the form, like a cover image of the eBook.

You can let people land directly on this form, or embed it on a landing page.

Step 3: Sync to Zoho Campaigns

Next, wire your form to Zoho Campaigns. Create a dedicated mailing list (e.g. “eBook Offer”) and map your fields. Zoho Forms will push new signups into this list in real-time.

Inside Campaigns, set up a workflow automation that does three things:

  1. Sends you an alert email

  2. Sends the lead a branded email with the WorkDrive link

  3. Tracks the click and adds 10 lead score points if they download

Step 4: Push to Zoho CRM

Once someone clicks the link, the final step is to push them into Zoho CRM as a new lead. Here’s the trick: Zoho CRM may require a last name and company, but if you didn’t collect that data, you can use default values like “eBook” as a placeholder.

Now you’ve got a working funnel: a public link triggers an email, tracks engagement, and pushes qualified leads into CRM—without needing a third-party tool.

Why This Works

This setup is minimal by design. It asks for one thing: an email. That lowers resistance and gets more people into your funnel. If they engage with the content, they score points and become visible in CRM.

You can enrich the lead data later based on email domain or behavior. But the system starts working from the very first click.
